📣 CALL for PAPERS 📣 Special Session on “Engineering Trust: Ethical, Legal and Societal Impacts of Computational Intelligence on Human Agency” at the 2026 World Congress on Computational Intelligence (IEEE WCCI 2026), Masstricht
💡 Aim and Scope – The aim of this special session is to provide an innovative and inspiring forum to discuss the state of the art regarding ethical and moral principles that govern the behavior of Computational Intelligence (CI) technology, as well as the researcher, designer, user and other stakeholders who are impacted by decisions informed by such technologies. With the rise of generative AI and foundational models, there is an essential need to integrate AI ethics while addressing security and privacy issues. As the largest technical event in the field of CI at large given the convergence of IJCNN, FUZZ-IEEE and CEC, WCCI provides an ideal forum for discussion of these issues.
⚖️ In addition to paper presentations, there will be a roundtable discussion on “Socially Responsible AI Agents” to discuss awareness of potential AI ethics issues and how to mitigate them. The panel will shed light on diverse perspectives of AI risks based on demographics and cultural backgrounds.
