Yesterday, Franca Corradini, PhD student and member of the TAS group, presented her research prospectus focused on the use of probabilistic models to achieve robust and explainable multi-sensor perception in autonomous vehicles.
Her work explores probabilistic approaches to model uncertainty, support explainable decision-making, and enhance perception robustness. A key aspect of the research is the modular assessment of system performance, accounting for both internal failures and external disturbances.
The case study is developed within the framework of the REXASI-PRO project, addressing autonomous wheelchairs supported by drones as a representative application scenario.
On behalf of the entire TAS group, we congratulate Franca on this important milestone and wish her continued success in her PhD journey!
