We are pleased to highlight the EUonAIR Open Innovation Challenge 2025, an exciting call for proposals focused on Responsible AI in Practice, promoted within our community by Prof. Alessandro Facchini, member of the Trustworthy Autonomous Systems (TAS) research group.
The challenge invites interdisciplinary teams (2–5 members) from EUonAIR partner institutions to develop working AI prototypes addressing real societal challenges, with a strong emphasis on responsibility, ethics, and impact.
Key focus areas include:
- AI for healthier online discourse
- AI for crisis response and disaster awareness
- AI for sustainable campuses and municipalities
- AI tools for auditing health applications
Selected teams will receive micro-funding, mentoring, access to EUonAIR infrastructure, and the opportunity to present their work at EUonAIR events.
Deadline for applications: 31 January 2026 (12:00 CET)
This initiative strongly aligns with TAS research on trustworthy, explainable, and socially responsible autonomous systems, and we encourage interested students, researchers, and staff to consider applying.
